1. What is coaching?

• Coaching can drastically improve performance.

• In a basic sense, this is achieved by your coach guiding you to set challenging yet achievable goals and plan actions that will lead to an accomplishment of these goals.

• We provide honest but constructive feedback to help clients realise their true capabilities and to achieve the outcomes they are looking for.

• We work wholly from the client's perspective, beliefs and cultural background to better understand how they are best motivated and to raise awareness of key strengths and areas for development and seek to improve both.

• With coaching, clients gain clarity of what is stopping them from attaining the results they desire, question their current ways of thinking and overcome those barriers.

• We take a non-judgmental standpoint and provide 100% confidentiality; only in this kind of environment do clients truly flourish. 

• We firmly believe that people are naturally highly resourceful and, with coaching support, will find their own solutions to their challenges. 

 

2. How does coaching get results?

Coaching is so powerful because it works with the client's specific belief and value systems. This means that all final solutions are aligned with what is most important to them, greatly enhancing their motivational drive.

Coaching is a long term solution. It focuses on creating key behavioural changes replacing bad habits that don't serve a client with positive, life-changing patterns of behaviour. As with any habitual behaviour, it takes time to nurture and establish but the results are far more sustainable.

 

3. What sort of Return On Investment (ROI) can be expected?

• 17 of the top 25 ASX Listed companies in Australia have an executive coaching or mentoring program in place

• 25-40% of Fortune 500 companies use executive coaches

• Coaching returns an impressive average of 5.7 times the initial investment

4. Is coaching for people who need 'fixing'?

In a word, 'no'. Clients work with us for many different reasons.

• Some people, who are struggling with self-confidence concerns, work with their coach to make shifts in their personal belief and behavioural patterns to enable them to enjoy more satisfying outcomes at work and in their lives...  

• Others want to work with their coach to map out a career path best aligned with their professional objectives...

• And some clients know exactly what they want to achieve but are lacking the vital 'how to...' steps to take them there...

 

 

5. What does a coaching program consist of?

Coaching is a very personal partnership and every coaching program is specifically tailored to each individual client or group. As a result, the structure and experience of a session or workshop varies for every client.

One-on-one executive coaching sessions are conducted at your place of work and are face-to-face. A single session lasts approximately 120 minutes.

 

6. How flexible are your programs?

Most organisations are looking for cost effective highly effective options to train their employees and as a result, our programs are extremely flexible.

Following an assessment of your requirements, we will provide you with a proposal outlining our recommendations. Our training can often be conducted in larger groups, smaller interactive workshops as well as individual coaching. Online options are being developed also in 2011.

7. How long do your programs last?

Many of our programs consist of group based workshops, followed by one-on-one executive coaching for particular individuals.

All programs are tailored to meet the specific requirements of your organisation and to create minimum disruption to normal working objectives.

Typical programs consist of:

a) 2-3 workshops (mass audience; theory covered; some interactive activities)

b) Executive coaching for key individuals (2 hour, weekly to fortnightly sessions, over a 3-6 month period).

 

8. What are your fees?

Following an assessment of your specific requirements, a proposal detailing fees will be presented to you.

9. What are your credentials?


Rebecca Wells, Director of Clear Horizon Coaching, is a Certified Coach and trained in London UK with
The Coaching Academy.

 

She qualified in 2005 with two Distinction Diplomas in Personal and Corporate coaching. The Coaching Academy is Europe’s largest coaching institution; its qualifications are internationally recognised; and are endorsed by The Open College Network, The Institute of Leadership and Management and The Open and Distance Learning Quality Council.

 


Rebecca is also a qualified NLP Master
Practitioner and Time-Line Therapist and trained at the Institute of Human Technology Sydney, Australia. 

 

 

 


Rebecca holds a BA/Hons from The University of Manchester UK in Philosophy & English Literature

 

 

 


Prior to working in the Professional Development industry, Rebecca worked for many years in London's advertising industry working for companies including JWT and DDB. Her global and regional client base consisted of a number of blue-chip companies including HSBC, Kimberly Clark, Pfizer, Cadbury Schweppes, Ufi/COI and BBC.

 

All coaches that Rebecca engages to work on larger corporate projects also have the same high, professional level of coaching and NLP credentialing.

10. What is cross-cultural coaching?

It is increasingly common for companies and individuals to operate in international environments, working with team members or clients originating from different cultural backgrounds.

We combine traditional personal performance coaching with cross-cultural insight ensuring that people new to a different cultural environments adapt more effectively, multi-cultural teams operate more cohesively and managers of expatriate talent understand how to get best performance from those individuals.

We firmly believe that 'one size' does not fit all. Traditional 'Western' coaching methodologies and approaches are highly effective but fail to take into account cultural difference. Our approach is highly unique in that it is adaptive to all aspects of our clients' preferences, crucially including cultural nuances.

Rebecca is a dedicated and enthusiastic cultural anthropologist, fascinated by the nuances of different cultures and the impact this has on peoples' behaviours, motivations and beliefs. One size does not fit all when it comes to personal development and Rebecca firmly believes that an understaning of culture is essential when working to improve individual performance.
